I disagree. I used to run Viper. I don't anymore. When the deffinitions would get updated, GWMicro was flagged. Also System access has been flagged. And so has Jaws. There are even programs that are safe to run but Viper has still flagged them as unsafe.

She runs Avast, never had any problems up til now. I don't think that's really the problem, because she never received any warnings from avast saying something was wrong, it never flagged anything she was doing as a virus.

What anti-virus does she run? Is she behind a fire wall?

Subject: question for a friend not on the list regarding scripts

Hey folks
I'm having trouble answering this one, so i thought I'd throw it out here onto the list to see if anyone, especially GW staff can work out what's going on. My friend is currently using window-eyes 7.5.1.0, and after doing a few script updates just a few days ago, she's noticing that none of her scripts seem to be working. I did a lot of checking to see if certain things were happening. Script status set to on? check. latest script updates installed? check. Here's where the weirdness begins. For some reason she can uninstall a script but is unable to re-install it. I believe it may have something to do with app get, but i'm not sure. When she attempts to install a script using AppGet, here's the error message she receives.

appGet.vbs.wecrypt.wsf - Microsoft VBScript runtime ErrorLine 732 Column 20Type mismatch: 'SO_ENV'< 0x800A000D

Any ideas folks? Like I say, her scripts are all set to on, but none of them are doing what they're supposed to. Any help would be greatly appreciated, by both of us, this is a real puzzler for me.
