OK, I could always have send you of the document. fact is, it happens to ALL my Excel documents, so doubtfully there will be anything about one specific. What's more, I even tried to open an all brand new - EMPTY - spreadsheet. Same thing happens there. It takes about a second, and the error message is there. Even if I don't touch any key after the document has been opened. So, do you want me to send you an empty spreadsheet, or one of the one with some info in them. The behavior is the exact same. And, I wouyld think that an empty spreadsheet, would be what you already have there. If you still want a copy of one of my docouments, I could always pick a pretty simple one and send it to you. Where do you want it?

Not exactly a pleasant experience. First of all, the WESounds app does not work any longer. But the real problem arose when I try to open and work with some of my Excel 2003 documents. Honestly, there has been no change to the documents. They worked with WE7.2, but now they don't any longer. Yes, you guys, I have gone through the hazzle of updating the set files. And yes, I have turned off all apps. And yes, I did even restart Window-Eyes several times - with and without apps. What happens is that I can open the workbook (spreadsheet). About a second later, a sound is beeping through my speakers. Then comes up a message telling me that Excel has a problem, an error report has been generated, and do I want to send it or not. First thing you would have thought, is that this is a Microsoft problem. But there is two reasons why I do claim it is not, and do hold a bit on to the claim that GW might have a job to do here. First of all, as I already have stated, the very same files worked just a few hours ago, under WE7.2. All I have done, is to upgrade to 7.5.1, and immediately the trouble arises. Secondly, I did close WE, and load NVDA. With the free NVDA, I could work troublefree with my documents. No error report, whatsoever. I could move around, copy, paste and edit to my heart's desire. I then closed down NVDA, and reloaded WE. Do I have to tell what happened? Well, let me just bug you with telling. Right away, when opening the spreadsheet, there was the trouble on again. Sorry, GW! I am in the need of using my spreadsheets numerous times a day. A free screen reader has no trouble in cooperating. Your paid for thing has. If 7.5.1 cannot work with Excel 2003, I am sorry to say, it is not worth a cent to upgrade. So, what can I possibly do here? Have I overlooked some setting or adjustment that needs to be done after upgrading? Or is this a bug, and youæd better downgrade to 7.2 till GW gets it fixed? Oh yes, I have made sure the Excel.set is loaded, and that the setfiles for Office 2003 are installed. Well, sorry for the frustrated mail. But honestly I did read in the installation process, the standard claim of GW's, that the screen reader stands for stability and rock solidity. I don't really then expect to be thrown off the wagon - by not being able to use my own documents any longer. Specially so, when a free screen reader can perform the task fully trouble free. That is a flaw... If anyone can tell me what to do, I am totally open ears here. If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
