First of all, a big thank you for getting a first run at sonar x1
access, this is encouraging.
I hope lots of people show interest and it gets plenty of attention.
Window-eyes is officially the only screen-reader that is supporting
sonar x1 right now.
I am having one perplexing problem though with an experimental w7 32
bit system and x1.
It seems that accessibility mode isn't working, where by the track
fields and inspector, etc show up.
In my xp installs and w7 64 bit installs, this gets inherited from
the sonar 8.5 reg entry, but not so for w7 32 bit.
I've attempted to put in the proper values
referring to x1 to get accessibility mode to work with no success.
Can gwmicro shed any light on this?
One reason I'd like to play with 32 bit w7 is to see how much
different e there is in stability, to be honest my window-eyes
experience with windows 7 in general has been less than wonderful,
but I'm trying to be patient, knowing how things are when they're green.
This includes talking installs that don't talk, botched installations
that require hard-drive imaging, bot for myself and my students, we
really need a fail safe installation method once and for all that
works, even if only default options are selected for you.
But i digress, this isn't intended to be a rock throwing session to
gwmicro, but an informative and information gathering one with the
best of problem solving intentions.
Most of the features seem to be working in the x1 I've tested with
xp, I do get an error message that says inspector not found when I hit i,
but I know the inspector is there, why is this?
Track selection is working well.
Also, as another aside, I'm still getting issues with the tripple
talk in serial mode,
this isn't fixed with we 751,
I had to manually edit the synth.ini file, any idea when this will be
addressed?
Warmest regards.
