Dave,

In the meantime, one possibility is to set the Adobe reading options to be sure 
it reads by page.  This can be a pain because you have to do a CONTROL 
PGDN at the end of each page and the Window-Eyes search only works within that 
page, but it means that at the very worst, you will be returned to the top 
of the current page instead of to the top of the entire document.
