hi, i have the same problem with my new gigabyte ga-z68x-ud3h-b3 motherboard,win 7 64bit. but many times if i use the voice rotor app to cycle through the decaccess32 and ssapi 5 voices the sound card will re inisialize and i do not have to reboot the computer. so far there has not been any driver updates.

This is a known problem that many people experience who use on-board sound cards from companies like Realtech. The drivers, for whatever reason, are quite unstable and sometimes crash outright. Since Window-Eyes also happens to be using the card to output its speech, it can seem like this is something being caused by the screen reader. However, this issue is beyond our control and must be fixed by whomever makes your sound card. I would suggest going to the manufacturer's website and installing the latest driver package they have available. While it may not fix the problem, it may mitigate the chances of it happening again.
