There is a box under power options that says show item in the task bar, that
box needs to be checked

My brother uses xp and needs to know how to make the safely remove
hardware option available with Window-Eyes. He does not have any way to
know when it is safe to unplug his external drive. Unfortunately, I use
Win7 and I can't figure out what to tell him. Any help would be
appreciated.
