it may be because you are useing the standard windows display driver. check in
the device manager to see if it is useing a video driver made for your monitor
or not.
with me i usually get this error the first time the computer reboots from the
fresh install. then on the second reboot w e will load from then on without any
errors.
if this were a re install of w e i would use the emergency removal tool that is
on the w e c d after you try the normal add remove or program and features
functions to uninstall w e.
you would start the setup again. then you need help to go to the advanced
button i think instead of starting the setup. arrow to emergency removal tool.
it will not talk and it takes about 30 seconds before a message will pop up
saying that w e has been completely removed. this will not talk either.

Kevin, Are you saying that this happened during the install, or after?
I had this happen when I tried to install from the CD. I did like you,
and updated the video driver, and, still no joy. Because I was
installing over a previous version, I downloaded the software from the
web site, and was able to install without difficulty, but you don't have
that option because this is the first time that you have installed. I
would imagine that a call to techs support is in order.

Hi.

I just tried to install Window-Eyes onto my laptop. Whenever it starts
to run I get the message

Window-Eyes cannot communicate with the Window-Eyes display driver
component. It may be disabled in device manager or it may not be
installed correctly. Please enable it or reinstall it and try again.

I went into the device manager, and the driver is enabled. I then tried
to update the driver, and I was informed it was up to date. I'm not
sure what to do now. Help!

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Don't work too hard.

GO CATS!
