GW Micro has a challenge to keep bringing in the revenue. Unlike Some
other companies we don't have to pay for what appears to be a scheduled
annual upgrade. There is also the idea of paying different prices for
text to speech depending on what version of the OS is installed. In
addition not too long ago, another organization has introduced an
additional cost for a version of their product that supposedly runs
better on the Atom processor?

Regarding the iOS platforms again a different approach. Text to speech
is free, however there is a charge for many apps. Therefore instead of
the cost being up front one pays small bits at a time. If everything
remains accessible this is probably a more inclusive solution, because
those apps work for more individuals than just those of us who rely on
text to speech.

As for what apps I would pay for on top of paying for Window-Eyes? I
agree an OCR app would be worth paying for as long as it wasn't
outrageously expensive. Heck if GW Connect ever gets the video portion
included I would even pay a nominal fee for that app. A third one would
be a calendaring and scheduling app that is not dependent on MS Office,
but is compatible when sending out and receiving invitations.
