Hi, if you set Thunderbird to not post in html, things work much better when composing and you can hear what you are typing. I've used this client since 2007 and love it.

Hello all,

can anyone provide suggestions to an alternative email client? right
now I use Office Outlook for my Exchange account which is great and I
use thunderbird for Gmail with the pop service. I have tried GMail in
Outlook but it is extremely laggy for some reason. thunderbird is just
not ideal with the constant focus issues in the message edit box (I
can't even hear what I am backspacing over and such) and it is also kind
of sluggish. Any suggestions would be great. do people still use Eudora?
