FYI, you can also use Insert-2 on the numrow to cycle among keyboard
echo settings.

Hi:
For anyone who experiences the problem of keyboard echo resetting
itself, I can suggest an app called Keyboard Roter.
In this app, you can press shift-alt-k to rotate between having the
keyboard echoing characters as you type, words, both characters and
words and neither characters or words.
The app is available on App Central and you can use the AppGet app to
download and install it.

I have had this happen a lot over several versions of WindowEyes. When
I start WindowEyes it often has set keyboard voice to none. I go into
the windowEyes control pannel and turn it back on. When you go in
there you will see it set to none when this happens. It just randomly
happens on WindowEyes start up. It will not happen while in a session
or anything like that.

I have had the problem a couple times and cured it by re-booting.
I just figured the computer got a little mixed up and needed a re-boot.

Subject: My keyboard quit echoing characters in WE 7.5.4.1, how do I fix
it
on the fly? I'll tell you how I solved my situation.
Hi.
I had a strange thing happen in Window-Eyes 7.5.4.1 on a Windows 7 64 bit
home premium PC. For some unknown reason I lost typing echo when I
pressed
keys. I have WE set to echo characters when I type. Thankfully I
resolved
my problem by going into the app menu and running the quick start wizard.
I'm curious if there's a key combination I hit to make WE go into the non
echoing of keys being pressed? Even hitting CTRL+C to copy content to
the
clipboard didn't say anything.
Just curious if anybody else has had this problem.
GO CATS and GO REDS!
