I hope somebody can help with the following problem. I have recently upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2010. I have saved a lot of files created in Word 2003. When I open these files in Word 2010, I can read them with the “read to end” command or even by screens but I can’t read by line or word. My wife tells me that the cursor will move using the down arrow but but Window-Eyes only sounds the error bell and does not read the next line. Is there some way of overcoming this problem? Also the file appears to be “read only” and cannot be amended.
