I began seeing this on my Windows XP box in the last few months. I'm not
sure about the cause; it is intermittent. I have McAfee running on the
computer that displayed that message.

I am wondering if anyone knows what the "services and Controller app"
is and what it does. I am getting error messages saying this app
needs to close. It is accompanied, in another window, by the
message"shut down is authorized by NT authority system".
If I don't close down the machine it eventually closes down by itself.
