Hi when I download the version for xp and windows 7 that is the file
that I
receive I have downloaded it 5 times I even downloaded the version for
win 8
thinking that maybe the buttons were changed around but when you try to
install that version it tells you that it is for win8.

You need to download the upgrade .exe file, not the installer exe file.
The size of the upgrade file is about half of what you got.
