That's fine, Tom, but what if other controls configured the same way aren't
being spoken either. Maybe controls you do want to hear. Just for
curiosity's sake, I launched NVDA on that page. NVDA is calling those
controls radio buttons. Do you want to be able to check such control
statuses at a glance, or would you prefer having to go through item by item
and make selections just to make sure they're set the way you want them?

I don't know if this is intentional or not. But personally I see it as a 
fix. All options are On/Off toggles and their status is voiced when I 
hit the space bar. This is why I always thought the check boxes were 
either an odd redundancy on Microsoft's part or a quirk in Window-Eyes 
be it that they serve no real purpose. But it was never a big enough 
deal to ask about. So I see them as easier to use now.
