Well I know there's a number pad on my new laptop that is coming. I pray and hope there is a numlock.

If you could please provide me an e-mail address or however you sent a message to Dell letting them know of your situation, maybe I could light a proverbial fire under their you know whats to let them know how unhappy I am about the keyboard I received. Again, my crumby keyboard is a kb113. I don't see myself as a power Window-eyes user, but somehow I have to make Dell realize the inconvenience of not having a numlock on the supplied keyboard, and I somehow feel the need to persuade Dell to pony up and replace the keyboard with one that has a numlock key. I never would have imagined a keyboard not having a numlock key, go figure. The numpad was always numbers. They are sending me a free replacement, but I tried to point out to them how important it is for visually impaired people to have a numlock key to use many of our screen-reader commands. The version of WE is 7.5.4.1. I was not able to find in the menus where this is turned on and off. In fact the hotkeys were all set up for their default values. When I used the key describer function 7 was being reported as the home key not home top left. The keyboard does have a toggle to change the function keys, but this didn't change anything.
