Yes this might be true but where do you move keys to in the event you ad a key
for every type of control. You say e should move to edit boxes. Then where do
you move the feeld set key to. I use this all the time to find related
controls. Then what happens as elaments are added we already have the problem
where some keys just don't make scence. For example ; and shift ; to move
threw landmarks. Sorry adding more quick nav keys just will muddy the watter.
Control search mode is the best salution to the problem.

My point is I don't want to press two keys just to move by one element.
Control Search Mode is good for specific searches but when using it to move by
one element, it involves extra key presses which slow me down.

For instance, I should be able to press b to move to the next button, but if I
press n2b it should move me to the second button relative to my current
position as it has in the past.

It's not a matter of easyness for me, it's more a matter of productivity.
I'm faster at browsing with other screen readers because they don't have the
Control Search Mode and implement quick navigation keys for almost every
element. Those that don't exist are rarely used as navigation steps anyway.

To be honest, I can't understand your frustration, it is easy and simple the
way it is....

Yes, this was a mistake in my last post, but my frustrations still hold. You
can move to the next and previous controls but for things like buttons, you
have to press two keys just to move to the next button.

He's not saying next control. He's referring to specific controls.

C and Shift-C are single key strokes for next and previous control.
