The best currently updated Linux distro to go with, accessibility wise, is Sonar GNU/Linux, from: http://sonar-project.org , and get the 32 bit version. Its based on Ubuntu 12.10, using the classic, and/or the 3.4 shell. There is also an LXDE version, in the works as well, currently in beta, based also on Ubuntu 12.10. The office suite it comes with is Libre Office, v3.5.7. No Java set up required. It just works! Firefox is the browser that comes with it. All programs can be updated at anytime. For iTunes, Rhythmbox is a good option. Not sure with a quick books replacement myself, as I haven't had to use one as of yet.
