This is an Imap account from gmail.

I have my personal email also set up on my iphone and it does just like you
said. My iphone responds immediately. Outlook is slow with WE.

I am fairly new to imap mail I just switched to it in July. I never used
outlook with any other configuration. Sometimes I fall back and use the trusty
old stand by Outlook Express.

I thought that messages that were HTML were the kind that would open in IE if
you used the key commands.

Sometimes I hear html said when I open a message. How does one know if the
message is in a particular format?

I don’t like that WE says, replied from , instead of forwarded. Sometimes there
are both things happening.

Is that some ware in that outlook enhanced app? That app has crashed a few
times on me already. I send in the error messages.

Thanks

Shannon

Yes, I agree. Except for the fact that I'm using IMAP on all three devices.
Even my old icon using IMAP was much faster than outlook with the quad core
processor

I wish I had a nickel for every time Outlook 07 and then Outlook 10 on this
computer has said outlook is not responding restart or wait for program to
restart Sent from my iPhone

Interesting. You’d think that a faster processor would yield less lag. But it
can also depend on what kind of email account you are using as well such as
Exchange, Imap, or POP.

Hi. I really don't think outlooks problem with deleting messages has anything
to do with the mail server. Both on my Mac and on my iPhone the messages are
deleted almost instantaneously and there is no way, but with Outlook can
running a quad core processor there's sometimes up to a 10 second lag.

I can explain why trying to open email messages only bings at you. Only
certain messages that are written in a certain way support that. Usually those
are messages that come in the form of news letters where things are written as
a web page. Otherwise the command will just throw you a ding and a blank
stare. The saying reply when forwarding messages, I’d had that happen too with
WE, but I have just accepted that as the way that WE handles forwarded
messages. The headers being found after you delete them probably has to do
with Outlook having to talk to a server at all times to delete a message, so
depending on how fast the server responds, and especially if it is particularly
slow to do so, there will be remnants of the message until Outlook is finished
processing the delete command.

I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled my office 2010.. yet.

Noticed some funny things though.

The documentation says that mail messages would not open using brows mode. they
will be opened in a word format. To view them in an IE window I have to press
ALT H then A then V.

That key combination only bings at me. No new window opens and that option is
disabled if I tab/arrow to it in the ribbon.

I have pressed ctrl shift A and I hear the brows pop in an out. So is my brows
mode supposed to be doing this. the usual brows keys seam to be doing something.

We is also saying reply when a message has been forwarded. I don't know how I
am supposed to fix that either.

And WE is slow to report after delete is pressed on a message. I sometimes
have to up and down arrow to make sure that the message is really gone. I
sometimes hear the message headers that I just deleted \ I go up and down the
list.

Is this just so totally messed up that It should be junked and reloaded from
scratch or is there a check box someware that should or not be checked?
