ok Kevin, that's seriously funny. God help us if windows indecisive is
added in the next update!
in all seriousness, I'm sure GW are working on a solution, but the
trouble it's a buffer thing. So the question is, and this is just a
guess, when does that buffer get activated and how. is there a we event
tracker for just commands and callback messages? not just for ap related
events? it would have to be verbose and write down a user's keystrokes
to try to determine when this strange buffer is activated. Or is it a
function of the windows clipboard and it's use in window-eyes? Does
window-eyes have an internal clipboard? Is that clipboard something that
can be cleared after text is copied to it so as to stop the chatter?
Those are just thoughts, I could be completely wrong on all of it. but
trust me I'm interested in a solution as much as everyone including gw.

Hi Vic:
I know about that feature, The windows memorizer works when it wants
to, or when it decides that you need it. This is because Windows
Memorizer now contains an algorithm called Windows Decider. There is
no hotkey to turn it off because that would counteract the
functionality of Windows Decider. If, in fact, you were to create a
hotkey to turn off Windows Memorizer, Windows Decider is programmed to
completely ignore that hotkey or any scripting that you might do to
try to interfere with its functionality.

Thanks David for letting us know about this overlooked and misunderstood
feature. now I will definitely look for trivia competitions and see if they
will let me on Jeopardy.

Oh, come on guys.
Have you never been told, that all blind people have such great memory? And
don't you know why? Blind computer users, are being brain-washed by their
screen reader.
This is actually, a built-in feature of Window-Eyes. It is named
"Window-Eyes Memorizer". Unfortunately, when GW invented the feature, their
keyboard was broken, hence they never got the chapter of the User's Manual
dealing with this feature written. The Window-Eyes Memorizer, is one of the
things that makes this the rock-solid number one screen reader of the
market. You are happy, that it really works perfectly well, on your
computer. :)
Window-Eyes repeating itself several times when focusing an object,
chattering wildly everytime you hit any key whatsoever in a listview, and
repeating long gone contents of closed screens; Oh, well, how many times do
we hear about it. Yet, till now, I have been offered no solution. Please, if
anyone knows how to turn off the Window-Eyes memorizer, then please
inlighten the whole community. :)

Vic, Same here on a Windows seven machine and WE 8.1.
I have it all the time. I can get rid of the repeated text by unloading and
reloading WE but it will just find another piece to repeat or if the same
email or document is has been encountered it will pick up that message text
again.
I have mentioned this before and have heard of no fix for it yet. If you get
an answer please share.
Shannon

Hi everyone
it appears as if WE has some text left in some area of memory some where. On
an XP pro PC with Office 2003 and IE8. From time to time I HEAR WE saying
something from a previous session. Recently I heard We speak something I had
in the MSAA buffer, but IE has been closed and it was a page I was at long
before shutting down IE.
Sometimes I also hear text being spoken from an email message or a word
document. This has nothing to do with any text I may have copied into the
copy/paste buffer.
