Hi Daniel,
To trouble shoot your issue, I would do the following first

when you get a clean bootup
press window key plus the letter r
type cmd and enter
type
chkdsk c: /f /r
then press enter
which is chkdsk space c colon space slash f space slash r then enter
You will be warned that your system is in use and if you want to
continue on your next reboot?
type y and enter
By the way, the slash f instructs the program to fix the problems and
slash r tells
the program to restrict the system from using bad sectors on the hard drive..
If this does not do the trick, email me off list and I'll try to help
further.
Good luck, Manny checkout my stand-up comedy performance

out of 5 I get an error message about “services and controller app has
done something or another”, and do I want to send an error message to
Microsoft. It doesn’t matter what I do at this point, either do or
don’t. When I get rid of the message I cannot get any program to open,
and I cannot do a CTRL+ALT+DEL either. I have to shut down manually and
reboot and hope it does not pop up again. If it does, I have to reboot
until it does not appear, about 2 or 3 times.
