Hi,
Go into Control Pane and then to add remove programs. Arrow through the list
of programs and anything that is un wanted can be removed by hitting the app
key and then choosing un-install or remove and just follow the prompts.

I have Dell computers and a Toshiba. Where do I go to remove unneeded
programs from these manufacturers? I know certain drivers may be needed, to
matain the OS.
Thanks.

Hi,
Since I've made sure not to have any unnecessary aps running or add-ons in
IE I seldom ever have a crash. I haven't changed to IE 10 yet because we
all know that Microsoft releases stuff before the buggs are worked out.
They save a lot on Beta testers by doing this and letting the End Users do
the Beta testing.<Grin>. Also, If you have things such as Del "help" and
other priority software in you PC a lot of times they cause issues with
any screen reader. I removed all the Del programs from my programs list
and it greatly improved the performance.

I guess I don't quite get that feeling. They're doing all the things
they can and...I really don't have a lot of stability problems here. I
am running 8 gb of ram on one laptop and 16 gb on another. I still have
issues but not a lot of crashes, famous last words. I guess it's a
matter of the software I use, and the kill win-eyes app is a very useful
one if we does crash. re: error reports and information from gw, well,
it's a small company.
I'm not saying these things to fully defend gw, every software company
has their issues, this has just been my personal experience. I just tend
to try one solution at a time and think of where the problem might be,
where's the glitch. It's a puzzle.
just my thoughts,

a new maintenance update would be coming out soon. Sure hope they will be
able to find the cause and fix it, I've got a lot invested in Window
Eyes.

Whilst I am satisfied that I have improved the stability of my home pc,
I do have issues at work and I think that Deb - you have summarised how
it seems very succinctly.
GW has lost its sharp customer focus; it used to be active in describing
how things work and why they don't. Doug was very good in this regard.
And yes: it is true that there are many thousands of pcs, with many
thousands of variations, running many thousands of copies of
Window-eyes. But we are lacking the reassurance from GW Micro that
efforts are being made to fix problems, and/or that there are
workarounds which they might wish to share with us.
We are at the point where needed new features cannot reasonably happen
if there are instability issues which are proving complex to resolve.
Thus: my often requested enhances to braille support may well once again
fall off the priorities list.
Vaughan.

Vaughn and all: I too, at work, at Citibank, have had a lot of the same
issues.
It is as if the Window-eyes folks, and the Sawgrass developers, and my
employer are not in sync with one another.
I have a lot of focus issues where things change by themselves without
warning, and, again, I am getting the 3 beep crashes again.
I am not a happy camper either.
