To be fair, you should mention that the blindness based OCR products do
offer several additional and often very useful features, as well as ease of
access.

Hello.  I've been using OmniPage for many years, and while it's not perfect,
it's a lot cheaper than paying a "blindness tax" for specialty software such
as K1000  Just my thoughts.

They cost around $1000. There are cheaper OCR programs, but I do not
know how well they work with screen readers.
