An even better way to skip youtube adds is to just use the moble site.
You'll need a player like realplayer to watch videos on your desktop, but
it's totaly worth it. For one thing it's faster, it's easier to use, and the
best part, no adds!

Well after extensive experimentation I must report that hitting F5 to
refresh the page doesn't always skip the adds. As often as not it just
switches to a new add or replays the same one. So I'm still stuck listening
to them.

A quick way to skip ads on YouTube is to just hit F5 to refresh the page
because the ads aren't part of the actual page.
