Hi all. If my sometimes faulty memory recalls correctly, GW Micro advised (prior to Windows 8) that this was a problem caused by Microsoft with at least the release of Internet Explore nine, and that it may even go back to the implementation of Windows 7's User Interface Application which has replaced the old MSAA.
I have never been a great user of the mouse, but it is clear to me that mouse keys are powerful and I have always wondered by other screen readers have never had the sophisticated implementation which has been a Window-eyes characteristic right from the beginning. One of the things I have noticed on the list is that (for good reasons) once GW says something is the way it is, and once they say that a fix is being developed, they end up usually being right at some future Window-Eyes release.. So: I plug for Microsoft being the culprit, and maybe a fix is closer than we think.
