Hi Ralph:
The problem with rolling back to IE 8 is that IE 8 is insecure
according to some experts.
The solution to your problem, if you can do it, is to switch to
Mozilla Firefox. I realize that this may not be possible, but if it
is, you might want to look into it.

What I can run and what I am permitted to run often are not the same. I am
at the mercy of the departmental standard desktop and suite of
applications.

Well, you can run IE8 under Win7 64 and 32 bit...

Good day everyone
Sadly if a solution doesn't happen with respect to using the mouse keys I
will definitely have some challenges.
The good news is here at work the migration to Windows 7 has fallen behind
schedule. This means I will be running IE8 on XP for a few more months.
We have several repositories on Bee Hive which is the old PC Docs and may
be
Humming Bird web based application. There are areas where I need to route
the mouse to a title out of browse mode, use the mouse right/left/up/down
hotkeys to get the pointer into an area followed by a left click so I can
begin typing. These are not controls recognized by WE or any other text to
speech application. In addition our change and problem management system
is
being updated. I have no idea what the new application will be like. The
current one has some areas where again standard controls are not being
used.
At least with IE8 I can again use the mouse movement keys to move around
by
a pre determined number of pixels to get to areas where I need to click so
that I can enter the correct data or call up the proper lists. Moving by
mouse clips does not work in any of the above examples.
