Oops. My bad. Those style plain text normal view messages are part of
Window-Eyes enhanced support for Word and can only be turned off on a per
document basis, and it's a fact, too. I simulated a reply to another email
message, turning off enhanced support, and when I closed that message reply
and moved to another email to simulate a reply, the messages were there
again. In short, you're stuck with tapping the control key to silence
unwanted speech.

Sorry 'bout that.

Now, if you're okay with not using Word as your email editor, you can turn
that off in the Outlook 2003 Tools> Options> email setup. If you so choose,
then those WE settings I wrote out will work. The only thing you'll have to
put up with is hearing WE say "rich edit." Interested?
