I have never had to do this with a Ninite installer, but you may have to
right-click on it and arrow down to see if the file is being blocked. If it is,
you may have to unblock it. As I think about it, the unnblock option may be
under file properties, so you’ll need to do some looking. Hope this helps.

Subject: Continued Winamp Frustration

Hi. I have the free full version of Winamp 5.64 installed. I understand that
there is a version 5.65. I have the Ninite installer and have checked the box
for Winamp. The Ninite installer doesn’t find the update. The Ninite
installer says that the Winamp update is skipped on two computers, one running
Windows 8 and the other running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition. On the
Windows 8 computer, Ninite lists the program as skipped and running locked. A
list member suggested I close Winamp and try to run the Ninite installer. I
opened Winamp on the Windows 8 computer, found a close button and pressed enter
on it. I ran the Ninite installer and Ninite still skipped the update and says
program running locked. On the Windows 7 computer, Ninite skips the update.
Any other updates seem to be recognized by the Ninite installer so why not
Winamp. Otherwise, the Ninite installer is a nifty program.

P.S. The Ninite installer when run on the Windows 7 computer does not say
program running locked. It skips the update just to be clear.
