Hi,

I just downloaded open office to see if I could use it. Well, I also
downloaded libre office, just for fun, yeah I know they're based on the same
source code. I'm having a few fairly large issues with both of them. For the
sake of simplification, we'll just use open office as the default go to
program here.

1. I can't seem to keep the accessibility settings from disappearing
every time I restart the program. I can navigate the options dialog with the
mouse cursor, and left click on the use assistive technology checkbox.
However, upon a few restarts of the program, see issue number 2 below, the
access disappears. This is after updating java to the latest and installing
the jab. Do I need to go back to jre 6.1?

1.1 when I click on the ok button to close the options dialog, I am
presented with a message asking me to select a java runtime environment to
use with open office. I can move by clip and, presumably, I selected the
7.0:25 jre with accessibility.

2. When I happen to get accessibility enabled, if I press alt for the
file menu and then press the right arrow to expand it, open office closes.
Yep, that's right, returns me to the desktop. This is, as far as I can tell,
only occurring when I am on the main screen where I can select what sort of
document I want to work with.

3. When I have the chance to open up a word document to write text
into, I can't read it.

So, at present, these issues more or less make open office a useless
program. Has anyone else run into these problems? If so, any fixes?

Thanks, any help is appreciated.
