Well, the servers that exist out there now won't go away, but anyone
wanting to use SHOUTcast to broadcast in the future might have a bit of
trouble finding it. I'm just about the biggest Winamp fan there is, but
I also have Foobar and would like to get better aquainted with it.

The only ones who will have a problem will be the people who use shoutcast

Duyahn has a good point here guys. I think some of you are taking the
sentence, Winamp is going away a bit too literally. The program will still
function for years to come. We've been able to use the program since 1997
when it first came out in its very early days, and we'll be able to use it
until a version of Windows is released that doesn't support programs like
Winamp. The only thing going away is the website to download it, and
development of the program will stop too, but again
your current instalation and all previous versions will still
work for a long long time to come. So lets all relax and keep enjoying
Winamp as long as it's possible to, which, again will be for a long long
time.

Whyu is everybody jumping the gun? Winamp is still usable even if it
is shutting down. I hate Foobar 2000. I have used Winamp since 2000
when I knew about it since 2.95.

Sue and all
I was just thinking about this player today, definitely in the
spirit of Winamp - Peter Polowski worked with Justin Frankel in
Winamp's early days.
It's too bad those lists don't read, for reasons I don't
understand. I'd be curious to know how big these problems are
from the point of view of Window-Eyes accessibility.

Hello. Since winamp is going away, I think that someone should
create an app to help out in getting foobar2000 to work with
window eyes, it reads some of the lists when you are in the list
boxes and parts of the screen window eyes for some reason does
not read, plus you can not change the volume. I tried the
keyboard short cuts by assigning them, that has not worked out
that well. I could use some help here. Thank you.
