yes please improve on this issue. it is very frustrating. I thought as
window-eyes keep on upgrading, the feature should be improving not getting
bad right?

Hello, just like Hui Thian, I am using windows xp and wineyes 8.4, and I
also can not read words character by character. This happened to me in an
edit box while trying to login to the BARD web page. I didn't have this
problem until I installed wineyes 8.4.
