Hi Gerardo,

You can think of all settings as being global, unless the Scope for a particular setting is set to Program. Take, for example, under Screen, Rate. If you tab to the Scope button, it will probably be set to Global, meaning any changes to the screen rate you make will be Global, or, as you would say, default, that is, it will be set for all programs on your system. If you wanted the changes to apply only to Thunderbird, you would have to change the button to read Program, change the screen rate to what you want it to be while using Thunderbird, and then save the setting in the Thunderbird set file using Control-S. In summary, all global settings are automatically saved in the set file named wineyes.ini, while any settings specific to programs are save in the corresponding program-specific set file; the important thing is to ensure the Scope is set properly for the setting you are working with.

hth,

Rod

OK suppose I'm working on Thunderbird, thus when I access the WindowEyes Control panel, it comes up and says Thunderbird set file; Ok if I want to make the change globally, is there a way to get to the Default set file, rather than doing the Alt to file, Opening and selecting Default? In jaws, you know how you can do Alt+Shift+d to get to the Default file? OK does WindowEyes have some kind of similar quick command to get to the Default set file?
