Rick,

The "FN" key is generally a key used to provide additional options for other 
keys.  It is possible, for example, that the FN key together with some other 
key 
might give you the applications key.  On some laptops and even on some 
desktops, particularly HP's, the FN key together with the function keys give 
you 
direct access to other kinds of functions such as turning wireless on and off, 
turning the volume up and down on the sound card, and so forth.  Before you 
buy another keyboard, it might be worth checking the manual for that one.  It 
may have a means to define a key as the Applications key, or it may already 
be defined.
