I am not selling the laptop on ebay or online at all. I talked to him on
the phone last night and he said he would buy it from me and I said
maybe the easiest way would be if we could somehow use your card and
send the money into my pay pal account so I could then put it into my
bank account. He does not have a pay pal account and really doesn't need
one.

Hey Josh.
This is somewhat of a gray area. It really honestly depends on the
merchant. As a seller, you have the option to allow perspective
buyers to enter their credit card information. Obviously, the seller
never sees that information, just as they never ever ever see the
buyer's bank account information. It's done very securely either way
you look at it. As for the way that you go about enterring your card
info, this will vary from seller to seller, but generally speaking,
the concept is basically the same if they give you the option...
Essentially, there should be a form somewhere on their checkout page
where you can either A. Enter your card info, or B. Login/create a
PayPal account.
Quite honestly Josh, I'd personally go ahead and create an account,
then tie either a debit/credit card to it, or tie a checking/savings
account to your PayPal account to be used as a funding source. It's
incredibly easy to do.
You know what? You just gave me a really awesome idea! I should do a
webinar training session on the use with PayPal with a screen reader.
That's not a half bad idea, actually.
Anyway, I hope this at least helps to a point.
Feel free to give me a call later today if you get stuck.
Chris.

Subject: paypal question
hi, do you need a pay-pal account to send money to people? can you
send it with just a credit card and no account, if so how? I can't
figure it out.
thanks
