Hi Vaughan et al: I have tried all you guys have mentioned including refreshing the screen.
It is not a repeatable problem, it happens once in awhile but not every time by a long shot on the same page and I have not yet been able to reproduce the error for posting up something to look at for other useres of WE. I am just waiting for WE Version 9 to see if the guys are able to improve on staibility - the whole new environment for screen readers has gotten much more complicated as I have warned over the past few years and I think they are struggling to catch up with the newer technologies. Yup, so are other screen reader vendors. I hope GW is not merging other non screen reader features into their product since that might be a new avenue for potential performance hits and buggs in new, infant, releases. For me, there is enough to do with trying to make UIA, html5, Css and JavaScript dynamics stable and useable. Anyway, if you have MS Office you have a "free" copy of WE so the price is right and hopefully WE will regain its leadership role and close the gap on the other screen reader vendors. I like WE and the voicing of various control layouts over all the other vendor products but am frustrated with the current issues as noted in my posts and many, many other users postings. I use to use the mouse to click on words in Internet Explorer that did not read as links but can no longer do that - likely they were java script or css dynamically modified text. WE was really good under XP but under 8.1 not quite as stable when it comes to focus and reading of some pages all be it a massive task to try and make these objects really usable and accessible. I almost started complaining about my favorite complaints so I will stop here and just wait for version 9 of WE to look for some performance and stability improvements. I have similar experiences, and in many instances, unwanted panes load by Internet Explorer, and also Firefox. Window-Eyes is struggling significantly with respect to new web design elements but I understand that other screen readers are also having challenges that weren't there even 12 months ago. Vaughan. But then when the page comes up the info is there. The problem is that doing a find on any text I can find on the page using the arrow keys results in a text not found condition by WindowEyes. I ReDraw the window with no effect. I leave IE 11 and Return (alt-tab, and no effect. I can read the screen using tab or arrow keys but the find does not work. Anyone have awork-around until the new release of WE?
