I hardly think that would apply in my case, given what GW Micro said about
the problems with the software. I mean it's possible, but I am doubtful they
would enforce something like that in a case like mine, once it was explained
to them of course.

But if your PC is under warranty, you could void the warranty by
uninstalling software that was provided by the manufacturer.

When I had that problem on a new Dell laptop I bought back in April, I
called the Microsoft Disability Answer Desk at 800-9365900 and explained the
situation, including that I was unable to uninstall the program and they
took care of it for me.

Subject: Removing McAfee anti virus
Just got a new HP desktop running Windows 8, the latest version. After
getting Window-eyes installed, I began exploring and found the dreaded
McAfee program. I remember seeing a post from the GW staff indicating that
McAfee caused many problems and caused some parts of Window-eyes not to
function. So what I hope someone will provide is step by step instructions
for removing McAfee. I remember that one must have sighted help to
accomplish this. So I don't want to request help until I know exactly how
to remove McAfee. My old XP box has sure come in handy.
Thanks in advance. Need help as soon as possible. Thanks.
