Hi Richard, The focus 40 blue, unfortunately, doesn't work as well with Window-Eyes. Freedom Scientific, the makers of that display has no plans to make up-to-date drivers for Window-eyes, or braille input for that display, as they focus on, and only on the shark. I myself use a focus 40 blue, and love it with my iphone, though, the only reason I picked it was because it worked with my iphone better than the humanware brailliant which I trialed, but had to reject it because of poor Bluetooth issues. This was back in 2012, so things might have gotten better with the brailliant and iphone since then.

I'm using window-eyes 8.4. When humanware heard I wasn't using jfw they said the function of the buttons on the display will be determined by your screen reader. The g w people sent the driver for the display which I hopefully installed. I still can't get the braille keyboard to work as well as some of the keys on the front of the display. On the plus side I can get the display to move left to right and down the page. I feel a bit caught between companies. Never realized that a display was specifically made for one screen reader. If anyone has any experience suggestions would be very much appreciated. -- richard If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
