I think the idea is to sort of mirror the idea of the apple app
store. That has apps that are both free and for sale. i do agree,
though, App central is a perfectly good name for it and it should stay
that way, imho.
If it ain't broke why fix it?

Um why? App central is a perfect name for it. when someone says store, you
think of buying thinks. Considering the fact nothing is for sell, there is no
reason to call it a store. It is a centralized location to download apps,
there for the name app central. It was also meant to emphasize, that there is
no such repository, for other screen readers. For example, there is no such
place for job access with speech for windows. You have to go to a number of
places to find scripts. With NVDA you have to go to web sites and download NVA
files. Not only that, but depending on what you want there is still a number
of sites you have to go to, to find add-ons. With window-eyes you get all your
apps from within window-eyes. All apps are in one place. Not sure why we are
even talking about renaming anything. There has been no indication that this
is intended. There is certainly no reason to contemplate doing this. The
names describe quite well the functions.

Apps, as in, "app store."
They should have called it the "Window-Eyes App Store" in my view...
Or why not call it the "AI Play Store?"

Hi:
Please! Please! Please do not change the name of Window-eyes. I am
sick to death of companies changing their names or the names of their
products to make them sound more "hip" or "twentyfirst century" or
whatever.
Window-eyes is a perfect name for the product. But then I am still
trying to get my head around why "scripts" became "apps" :) Kevin

I wonder when the name for Window-Eyes changes to something more hip
and 21st-century corporate that doesn't specifically mention low

Former GW Micro Support Email Change
Since the merger of Ai Squared and GW Micro earlier this year, we
have been in the process of integrating many of our systems. The
next step in our merger is to update our support email address as
gwmicro.com email addresses will eventually shut down. Rest assured
that you will still have access to our email lists and Technical
Support Department.
However,
some of the addresses will be changing. Effective immediately, the
new support email address for Window-Eyes and other GW Micro

[email protected], you will receive an autoresponse indicating
that you should contact us via the new support email address. For
immediate assistance, please call our support department at (802)
