I responded to Don saying I have logged the numpad enter as not working like the normal enter. The numpad enter is just going through to the browser and doing whatever it would do if you it enter without Window-Eyes. We'll fix this.

But Dave, when you say the beta is no longer speaking if BM is on or off, this is a verbosity that was there in 8.4 as well. You can indicate going in and out of BM with a tone and/or speech. Go to the Window-Eyes control panel under verbosity / browse mode / autoload and tab to the "When browse mode is toggled on or off" and change the combo box to "indicate with speech and tones" and you'll get both. But again, this isn't new to 9.

I find that browse mode isn't saying whether it's on or off with speech in the new beta. so the enter key isn't really helping in that respect.

I reported earlier that I was having a issue with not being able to use the enter key to turn off browse mode when on a edit box. Well it turns out for me anyhow that the enter key which is part of the numpad will not turn off browse mode if pressed but the regular enter key not part of the numpad will. Can anyone else see this issue? If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
