Hi, you can record with an external microphone. However, you can
not, at present, turn up the recording volume.
The preset recording level is set very close to zero so when you play
back the recording you have to turn volume up to maximum and then
listen to a whisper of a recording.
This is a known problem and hopefully will be addressed in the near future.

If so, How? What kind of mic would I need and what settings should I use?
I tried with a stereo mic and a mono mic with line in turned on but
had know luck. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere.
Thanks a lot.
