You will probably want to look for stereo microphones if that is what
you want. Best case is to write Chris Church and ask to make sure. Just
tell him what you want to do and he can make an appropriate
recommendation. he usually responds within a day. Also, on
www.blindcooltech.com there are quite a number of reviews of Church
audio microphones as well as other stereo microphones made by other
companies which are just as good.
Good luck.

Ok I went up on the Church ebay store and saw all kinds of mics for mini
disk recorders. Does that make any difference?
I am totally confused.

Hello Stacey. As others have mentioned, currently if you want to use
external microphone you will get the best results with a preamp and
stereo mic.
I have a Church-Audio set which I purchased for around $100 but it's
worth it to me because of the types of recordings I do. I think
there are some external microphones out on the market with built-in
preamp and they might be cheaper. Depends on what you want of
course. I'll have my Church-Audio and preamp set with me at the ACB
convention this year.
Many thanks.

Hi all,
Can you record with the voice snese using an external microphone?
If so, How? What kind of mic would I need and what settings should
I use?
I tried with a stereo mic and a mono mic with line in turned on but
had know luck. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere.
Thanks a lot.
