Better yet. Perform the save in the help/info dialog box. This places a
text file in the root of the flashdisk. Go rename the file to
yourserialnumber.txt and you get it all in one shot.

one's choice in the root directory of the Flash Disk with personal
identification such as name, address and phone number, etc. plus the Serial
Number of the unit. The MAC is already provided in a couple of places as well
so one could copy that information into this file as well.
