Hmm well that card could also be mis-placed or become damaged and the braille
flattened. So far I've had 2 separate Braille Sense models. The first was the
prior Braille Sense B32 and then upgraded to the Braille Sense Plus. In both
instances, the Serial Number in braille located on the underside of both units
was not damaged. I will note to you that the convention of providing the
Serial Number in Braille and print on the underside of similar devices is a
very common practice amongst developer/vendors. I'm certain too that your
suggestion is being considered. All that we've offered you here is a temporary
and very workable alternative.

I don't understand. Since I'm not quite sure if I read the serial number
correctly, I don't quite understand what you mean. There should be a way of
retrieving it through the notetaker itself, rather than just relying on the
braille embossment which, in my case, is somewhat erased and illegible.
Perhaps it should also be provided, in braille and print, on a separte card
inside the shipping box.

Thanks.

Better yet. Perform the save in the help/info dialog box. This places a text

Another justification, is that one wouldn't have to remove the Sense from the
case to read the Serial Number.
Now, I would like to suggest that one could easily put a file in the format of
one's choice in the root directory of the Flash Disk with personal
identification such as name, address and phone number, etc. plus the Serial
Number of the unit. The MAC is already provided in a couple of places as well
so one could copy that information into this file as well.

Hello Don. I've passed this along.
Many thanks.

Raul,

How about the idea of including the serial number in the help menu
under the "information about" topic.

Certainly not a critical issue, but might be good for a future addition.

Don

As others said, look for the serial number underneath.

How does one call up the serial number of a particular BS Plus? Thanks.
