The compressed read-only mode will allow you to read a document without
seeing the line breaks. The drawback of compressed read-only mode is you
cannot edit the document.
There are two other menu items which might be helpful to you. You can turn
off format markers. You'll still have the short lines when reading the
document in the original mode, but you won't see the marker. The other
option is to turn on the "skip blank lines." You can go line by line and
the BrailleSense will automatically skip blank lines.
But, no matter which mode you use, the BrailleSense will still see line
breaks as paragraph boundaries, so you cannot scroll from paragraph to
paragraph in .brf documents. This is a drawback and an annoyance to me.
The only work-around for this is to use the search command and look for two
spaces.
When you close your document, the compressed read-only settings won't be
saved, so you must activate them every time you open the document.

Hi all,
Sure been quiet around here lately. I'm reading a .brf file from
bookshare on by braillesense plus. It is reading just fine except that
every other line has 32 characters of braille and the other lines have 8
or so. Obviously it's an issue with the line length within the .brf file
and the sense is splitting it with 32 characters on one braille line of
the display with the remaining characters of the line on the next
display. Is there any way to turn off the line break in the .brf file so
the sense won't see these? I don't see any such setting in the bs command
list, but I could be missing something too.
It's certainly not impossible to read this way, but it really would be
easier if each display line was filled.
