Hello all, These questions are for Raul. Raul, I sent a message to support regarding a USB keyboard and the Braille Sense Plus B32 as well as a question about the back panel of the Braille Sense Plus. Unfortunately I didn't get a response and I'm anxious to use a USB keyboard with my BSP. I'll include this message below. Could you please look into this? Thank you, Nafisah.
First, the back panel of my Braille Sense Plus B32 seems to be loose. When I push on the side of it closest to the braille display (that is, the longest side of the unit which would be facing you if you are typing on it), I can hear it squeaking. Is this normal? By the back panel, I am referring to the panel on which is the brailled label of the unit's serial number. Second, I tried to use a Microsoft Comfort Curve USB keyboard with my Braille Sense Plus B32. The unit went into ASCII mode and I pushed keys on the USB keyboard. However, the BSP was very slow to print on its braille display the letter I typed on the USB keyboard. For example, I would type the letter "a" and a space. I'd have to wait about two seconds before pressing the spacebar on the USB keyboard for the space to register on the BSP's braille display. . And before that, the "a" would appear after about two seconds. Can you please explain why this is the case? Should I be using another USB keyboard or is this normal behaviour? Or is there a setting in the BSP that I need to change? If you wish to unsubscribe from this list, send a message to [email protected] and include leave gw-notetaker in the body of the message.
