Hello Raul!
Do you know whether routers as my Netgear or Robert's apple router can
somehow be switched from AES only to TKIP? Should I check with manufacturer
or should I find a new router which can plug into the modem the cable
company uses? They are reluctant to discuss settings.

aes. Sometimes wpa and wpa2 uses aes only.
