This is what is known.
The router is a Netgear WNR3500L. This is suppose to be on channel one, not
changeable according to cable company. It is set for wpa2. A software
known as digi-do was loaded in all of our computers. I'm not certain what
the software is suppose to accomplish but I believe it is a third party
software which may govern the router settings and is used to show the status
to cable people whether service is working properly or not. They say any PC
could connect to my modem if the WPA2 code is known. This is connected to
an Arris Modem 602. This governs the high speed data for the internet and
the telephone. They say anything less than this is not as secure as what I
have presently! No matter who I talk to, they say I must speak with
manufacturer of my PDA. That's where it stands presently! One can find
digi-do on the internet without hyphen, and not certain whether arris is
spelled with one R or two. I will phone tomorrow with the TKIP question
versus AES. I hope I can make more headway!

If they are reluctant to discuss settings, perhaps it's time for another
router. Some routers only allow aes encryption and if this is the case,
Sense notetakers cannot use them. However most smart routers can be
configured as aes/tkip which means that aes will be tried first. Then if
that doesn't work, tkip is used instead. This is perfectly safe. Linksys
won't let you down.

Hi. Make sure that the encryption method used is tkip rather than only
aes. Sometimes wpa and wpa2 uses aes only.
