Hi Crystal,
I haven't used the telephone support, always preferring to do
things by email when possible. But, when I called to order my
VoiceSense and SyncBraille and SenseNav a few years ago, it was a
pleasant experience, and my equipment arrived promptly, with my
being sent a tracking number via email shortly before the
products were scheduled to arrive. Oh, now that I think of it,
there was a small delay in getting my order to me, as they were
waiting for the GPS receivers to arrive, but I was told about
that delay when I placed the order, and I still had my equipment
in less than two weeks.
As mentioned before, I have used the email tech support on
several occasions, and I've usually gotten a response back within
one business day, two at the most. And, once when I had to get a
replacement battery for my VS, I received that replacement
battery in just three or four days.

Subject: [GWN] Customer Care ?
Hello:
I'm still considering both the BrailleNote Apex and Braille Sense
Plus.
I was able to spend several hours last week looking at the Apex,
and hope to do the same with the BSP in the near future.
I am impressed that Raul so actively participates on this list,
getting so much feedback from users.
I would also like to know what you think of GW Micro in terms of
customer care.
If you have to send a unit in for repair, are the turn around
times reasonable? Are you kept updated during the process?
As I've said, I see how swiftly Raul tries to answer questions
posted here, but if you have to contact tech support by phone or
email, have you found that to be responsive, too?
Thanks for any thoughts, and I appreciate everyone for answering
my plague of questions.
Crystal
