Hi Vicky
Thanks again for your time!
I'm not getting the message that the files are being extracted. When I hit enter on that file on the s d card nothing is happening, apart from the beeping. This goes on for ages, 45 minutes or more, and a reset is needand before I can use the VS for anything else!

I think that's where the problem is!
Best!
Peter

Best I can tell, Peter, your steps were correct, but it just takes a while for the files to be extracted. Then, after you get the files extracted in that folder, you would then need to move them to the root of the drive you are using to do the upgrade. Also, here is the link to the knowledge base article Raul wrote about upgrading off line with the Sense note takers:

Peter,
First of all did you download this to a card in your voice sens or in your
disktop...
If you did this from your v s use your p c to download the upgrade save it
to your desktop when asked,
When finished downloading do a right click on that file or the app. Key and
the menu pops up and arrow to unzip and hit enter,
The dialog pop's up and hit enter on next,
In the next box be sure your s d card is in the card reader of your p can. note I am perty sure you can not use the s d card to upgrade you need to use
a c f card with the v so.
Now tab to brows and hit enter,
Tab to the list and arrow to you highlite the c f card...x will have a
drive letter and tab to ok and hit enter,
Tab to next and let it extract,
When finished tab to finished and hit enter and you will see the files
extracted.
Here do a select all and copy them.
Now close that window and go to my computer and highlite your c f card and
hit enter and past the files rite there on the root of the card.
Close everything and put the card in your v s and follow the upgrade steps.

Subject: [GWN] updating the Voice Sense to 5,5 just with the VS

I've tried upgrading to 5,5 with the VS.
Here are the steps I've taken.
It seems as though I cannot unzip when I locate the file on the s
d card.
I've been able to upgrade the VS just with the VS in the past.
I went to the gw site,
I brought up the list of links and hit s for support files,
I entered on that link.
I hit d tddtwice to get to downloads and entered on that link.
I then hit v to get to Voice Sense Support files. I hit enter
again.
I then hit v and got Voice Sense BT 5,5 firmware June 30th
I then hit enter.
I then found the download now link, or something like that, hit
enter and was given a combo box for a name, and then chose to
download it to the root of the s d card. I tried c with space
and found that the size of the download was 22'658 KB. That was
downloaded to the s d card.
I got the message saying that it had been done so successfully!!
 Hope you're still with me!!
I then exited out of the browser and went to the s d card.
I hit v to get to the file which said something like, VS BT 55
zip list item, I then hit enter. I got the prompt "unzip to
folder name vs bt 55 computer edit box".
I hit enter.
I then get the message, VS bt 55 and that's where it just kept
beeping. Hitting c with space simply got me VS bt 55 zip and
then 20 out of 21 which I assume is the 20th item out of 21 on
the s d card.
Where have I gone wrong?
Really would appreciate your help here!

Peter
