Hi, Jim,
I have Comcast cable for my TV, internet and home phone. Neither of my
notetakers will work with it, but for different reasons. On my desktop PC,
I have a wired modem/wireless router combo. I have a little usb device
which I can plug into a PC in my living room to get a wireless connection.
My PC in my living room doesn't work anymore.
I think it's a shame my notetakers won't work, but I'm content with using a
PC for the internet. I suppose it's because I never was able to use my
notetakers with cable. I'd probably be frustrated, too, if I had been able
to use the BSP with the internet and then the capability was taken away.
The word processor means more to me than using the internet. I know that
I'm frustrated because I can't search for hard returns and replace them with
spaces. Nor can I set up tabs. The tabs don't bother me as much as the
hard returns do. I al wish there was the ability to format paragraphs so
when you translate from print to braille and vice versa the paragraphs would
have the correct format. Still, I was very happy the word processor was
able to open and read the updated manual for the b32 I downloaded from the
GW Micro web site. If it hadn't been able to read the file, I would have
been out of luck because I don't have any form of Word on my PC. I've never
liked Word. I prefer doing most of my editing using my BSP. I hope HIMS
will add more capabilities to its word processor for the next release. I
don't like having to use my other notetaker because its display has weak
dots in many of the cells.
