Hello Katie, the most common reason for this not working is if you press
F1 and then enter on the file manager, effectively re-opening it again.
If this is done, the items selected for copying are deselected and the
paste does not work. However if you or the student insures to press
backspaced until the BSP says flashdisk and then pressing enter on it
and navigating to the correct folder, it should work. I have made the
suggestion to HIMS that it should not matter if you press F1 and enter
on the file manager a second time. As long as you have not copied
anything else besides the files, it should just work. Of course all this
assumes this is the possible reason for it not working, and you know
what they say about assumptions. *smile*.
Many thanks.

Thank you! I thought it was that simple, but it hasn't been working for
her. She may be simply leaving out a step. I'll use your notes and go
step by step with her to double check.
Thanks again.

Re: [GWN] transferring files on BS
Hello Katie,
It is very simple to copy files from the USB memory stick to a specific
folder on the Braille Sense's flashdisk. All your student need do is
basically highlight the files on the memory stick that are to be copied,
press enter-c to copy them, press backspace until the flashdisk is
reached, press enter on the flashdisk, and navigate to whichever folder
the desired files are to be copied into, then once there, press enter-v
to paste the files. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need
anymore information. Thank you,

I know how to transfer a file from a USB memory stick to the flashdrive
on the BS. Is there a way to copy a file from the USB memory stick to a
specific folder on the flashdrive.
For example, my student has a specific file folder for each of her
classes. I give her a USB memory stick with certain assignments or
documents for various classes. Can she transfer individual documents
directly to specific file folders on the BS Flash Disk or does she have
to copy them to the flash disk and then move them to the file folders?
